C. Chi-Yoon Chung (Korean-American) is an extremely talented Emmy award-winning editor turned director whose star is rapidly rising. Her most recent episode of ABC’s THE ROOKIE premiered in the spring, having returned for her fifth season in a row. Prior to that, she directed episodes of two first season shows: THE COMPANY YOU KEEP for ABC and the hit series FIRE COUNTRY for CBS and Bruckheimer. Additionally, she helmed an episode of Fox's hit THE CLEANING LADY to rave reviews. Chi Yoon has also directed on the first season of both the ABC/HULU series PROMISED LAND in as well as a block of Apple’s series SURFSIDE GIRLS all to outstanding feedback. In her lifelong journey as a storyteller, she has worked with exceptional showrunners and directors including Danny Strong, Ryan Murphy, Liz Friedman, Kevin Williamson as well as her mentor, Liz Friedlander. In addition to her work on “FEUD: BETTE AND JOAN", Chi Yoon won the Emmy for editing FX’s AMERICAN CRIME STORY: THE PEOPLE V. O.J. SIMPSON for the episode “The Race Card,” directed by John Singleton and was nominated a second time for her work on “Manhunt” in “AMERICAN CRIME STORY: THE ASSASSINATION OF GIANNI VERSACE.” She was also nominated for an Emmy for her work on DOPESICK for Barry Levinson, Danny Strong and Hulu and has transitioned directing full time.
